We are pleased to announce RP Performance as the title sponsor for the NASA Mid-Atlantic Spec Miata Challenge race series for 2008. 
 
RP Performance, located on Gasoline Alley at Summit Point Raceway, provides Spec Miata and Spec RX7 race car rentals, service and sales in addition to being one of the top teams competing in the Spec Miata class over the last several years.  RP Performance can perform engine rebuilds and replacements, transmission rebuilds, brake service, tune ups and oil changes.  We are excited to have Bret and RP Performance on board for next season.  RP Performance's title sponsorship will help us continue to attract new racers into the series and offer contingency and cash prizes that pay deeper into our field.
 
The series will compete in the all rounds of the NASA Mid Atlantic region thoughout the 2008 season. The series sponsors have posted a championship prize fund to be awarded to the top points finishers at the end of the year and the feature HyperFest race at Summit Point.

RULES

  • The Series will use the NASA 2008 Spec Miata Challenge Rules. A copy of these rules can be found here: Spec-Miata-Challenge RULES
  • A copy of the NASA CCR can be found here: NASA CCR
  • All NASA Mid-Atlantic races (except the 4 hour enduro at VIR) will be deemed points scoring races
  • Drivers points will be awarded using the 2008 NASA CCR points system
  • Competitors must enter at least five races to be elligible for the end of year championship and prize fund
  • Championship points will be decided from the competitor's best 10 results from the 2008 season
  • TOYO RA1 will be the spec tire
